Family Travel & Adventure Gear Picks: REI 4th of July Summer Deals

If you are anything like our family, you have many adventures on the horizon for this summer. First, I would love to know what your summer plans are, or at least what you are most looking forward to! 1. Balega No-Show Socks: I purchased a pair of the Balega No-Show Socks in pink several months ago, and absolutely love them. They are comfortable, and supportive, and have held up well in the wash. They’ve become my go-to socks for working out at the gym.
2. Matador Gear Cubes (Set of 3): A handy set of packing cubes that will not only help you stay organized while on the go, but they also include compression to help maximize space. I love that they are water resistant too!
3. Matador FlatPak Zippered Toiletry Case: Lightweight AND leakproof. I love my toiletry organizer from L.L.Bean, but I could definitely use something to supplement that space, especially when packing sunscreen, aloe, and other beach/adventure essentials.
4. Osprey Backpacks: Many of the Osprey backpacks are on sale until July 7th. We’ve been big fans of the Osprey line for daypacks, and especially their child carrier for years.
5. Trailmade 2 Tent (with footprint): We purchased this tent when Bergen became a Boy Scout in 6th grade (he’s going into 8th grade now), and it has been on countless adventures from backpacking to car camping, to formal scout camp. I’ve used it too–it’s a breeze to set-up, and take down. Plus, it’s lightweight, and dries easily, Bergen camps year-round in Western Washington, these things are important!
6. Sunday Afternoons Artist Series Trucker Hat: My absolute favorite hats, and they are being discontinued! The most comfortable hat(s), received a second one for Mother’s Day, I own, and the two left on the site happen to be the designs I have! There are many other Sunday Afternoons styles on sale too.
