Every year we ask ourselves the same question: Where should we go to find the perfect Christmas tree? And over the years, we’ve visited Christmas tree lots, Christmas tree farms, nurseries, and garden centers. There was even a few years in there where we had an artificial tree.
Last year knowing that we would already be south of Seattle (for an airport drop off) right after Thanksgiving, we decided to find a Christmas tree farm south of the city. In my search, I came across Reindeer Ridge Christmas Tree Farm in Auburn, Washington.
Reindeer Ridge Christmas Tree Farm was easy to get to, the kids loved the adventure of searching around the 15 acre property, and we all enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. The only concern? Do we trust our tree tying skills enough for the tree to make it all the way home on the interstate?!
You can see first hand what our visit to Reindeer Ridge was like by watching our YouTube video below.
We had such a good experience at Reindeer Ridge last year that when we found ourselves on an adventure south again this year, this time, it was to see Santa at the Tacoma Mall, we made a return visit.

Now for the burning question. What is your preference?
Cut Tree?
Living Christmas Tree?
Artificial Christmas Tree?
As a family, we have experienced all three options. I enjoy each option for different reasons, but I do keep falling back on to the “U-Cut” option. I love the adventure in searching as a family, and finding that perfect tree that everyone loves.
Do you have a Seattle Area Christmas Tree farm that you recommend? We also love visiting Serres Farm in Redmond, Washington for U-Cut trees (as well as pumpkins in the fall)!
