With BOTH of the kids back to school, and my intentional social media break of over 2 weeks, today feels more like the first day of 2019. So HAPPY NEW YEAR, friends!
This year we celebrated on the beach while visiting Whidbey Island, Washington. Slaed and I enjoyed a growler of beer from the island’s Double Bluff Brewery around a cozy fire. Meanwhile, the kids transformed an otherwise quiet waterfront community into something a little more “lively”. Searching for crabs and hunting for the perfect shell is serious, exciting, and at times emotional work!
From our family to yours, we wish you all the best in 2019. Do you have big ideas or goals for the year? I encourage you to go all in! Start today if you haven’t already, and just do one small thing that will get you closer to your great dream. Small steps + Daily Practice = Big Changes.
If adventure, travel, and the outdoors are a part of that dream. make sure to grab a copy of our 2019 New Year, New Adventures Printable. It’s easy to fill-out, and may just get the exploring juices going enough to give you some momentum and motivation. For more details, head to the 2018 New Year, New Adventures post.
Also, sometimes a quick and messy brainstorm of ideas helps too. Here’s a glimpse of my brainstorming session list in no particular order:
- Run 2 half marathons.
- Spend less time on my phone.
- Spend more time connecting with my kids.
- Take Bergen skiing.
- Drink more water.
- Go on more hikes with girlfriends.
- Read 25 books.
- Cultivate patience.
- LOVE being a mom.
- Practice gratitude daily.
- Grow “Wild Tales of…”
What’s on your 2019 list in terms of adventure, the outdoors, and travel? We’d love to know!
