Bergen and I visited the library today, something we do often, but not often enough. I’m thankful for the various board books that each branch offers as unfortunately, our little reader can get a little carried away, and ripped pages in a book is just tragic to me. Along with our board books, and a few select paper books that we are “extra careful” with, we also picked up a couple of CD’s.
One of them in particular really caught my eye: “Songs and Rhythms from Near and Far” by Ella Jenkins. The very first song on the album is titled, “The World Is Big, The World Is Small“. As I listened to the lyrics, I was brought back to our recent week on Orcas Island…

Thanks, Lance! Much more to come.
Martie says
A train, a train, a train, a train,
Could you, would you on a train?
Not on a train, not in a tree,
I would not, could not in a tree.
Not in a car, you let me be!
Kate says
The ending is a lot like Green Eggs and Ham, isn’t it Martie? 😉
